Mercedes-Benz E-Class Specifications & Features
The 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan offers nearly as much class and substance as the S-class flagship with a somewhat less imposing look. It is executive transportation with a distinctively Mercedes-Benz attitude. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower powers entry-level E350 models, while a 3.0-liter inline-six engine with 375 horsepower propels E450 variants. All variants come luxuriously equipped, with a long list of entertainment and driver-assistance features being included as standard. AWD is also included. Other European competitors like the Audi A6 and the BMW 5-series provide comparable interior room and amenities, but none brand enjoys the same level of reputation as the Mercedes-Benz moniker.
What’s New?
The E-class sedan’s brand-new generation, which was completely revamped and boasts more luxury and technology than the previous model, debuts this year. This year, the four- and six-cylinder powertrains received hybrid assistance, which increased their power and gave the exterior style a stylish new look. The cabin, which is supposed to be even more comfortable than the inside of the automobile that came before it, is filled with a variety of new technological innovations. Mercedes-Benz E-Class Engine, Power, Acceleration & Performance
A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a 23-hp electric motor are mated under the E350’s scalloped hood to produce 255 horsepower overall. The 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine in the E450 model receives a similar hybrid system to increase its output to 375 horsepower. According to claims, hybrid systems smooth up the auto start/stop system’s performance and eliminate turbo lag. Acceleration might also be advantageous, though we’re not yet clear how much. The original steel-spring suspension can be replaced with an adjustable air suspension as an option. Rear-wheel steering is another option that is believed to improve maneuverability in confined situations.

Although the EPA hasn’t yet provided fuel efficiency estimates for the 2024 E-class, we anticipate seeing slight increases over the 2023 model’s figures.

The E-class’s interior is loaded with integrated technology, and customers who desire it can choose a dashboard with three different screens. We think it’s a bit excessive, therefore we’d choose the conventional layout. It has a separate screen in the middle of the dashboard for infotainment and a digital display for the vehicle’s gauges behind the steering wheel. Depending on your point of view, Mercedes-Benz has added some amusing features like a selfie camera and downloadable third-party apps from TikTok, Angry Birds, and Zoom. A head-up display can be used with in-dash navigation to overlay directions on the road ahead using augmented reality.

The price of the 2024 E-class has not yet been disclosed by Mercedes, but we anticipate that it will be available in the same three trim levels as the smaller C-class: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle. The E-class features a six-trim lineup with a wide range of prices to cater to a sizable audience of luxury-sedan buyers when you combine those with the two available powertrains.
