Abigail Klobuchar Bessler is an American legislative director. She is also the daughter of U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Democratic candidate for the 2020 US Presidential Election.

- Abigail Klobuchar Bessler was born to Amy Klobuchar (mother) and John Bessler (father) in Minnesota, in 1995. She is an only child.
- From 2009 to 2013, Abigail attended the Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia. She graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma.
- Abigail then followed in her mother’s footsteps and attended Yale University from 2013 to 2017, graduating summa-cum-laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
- Currently, she resides in Brooklyn, New York City.

- Abigail worked extensively in numerous jobs before, during, and after her university degree.
- From May 2013 to August 2013, she was an Event Services Specialist for JW Marriott. The job involved setting up and cleaning hotel conference rooms.
- Abigail was then an intern at the Center for American Progress from May 2014 to July 2014. Her role involved writing for the website ThinkProgress. She wrote more than 20 stories covering national health and education and helped with the research for five others.
- Following that, Abigail became an intern for CBS News from July 2014 to August 2014. While there, she performed various duties – From transcribing interviews to posting articles, clipping videos, and writing seven national politics stories for CBS News.
- From May 2016 to August 2016, Abigail was a policy intern for the Hillary for America campaign. She was part of the national policy team, and as such she wrote research memos, worked on speeches for the campaign staff, and ran economic analyses.
- The talented young woman then interned for West Wing Writers from June 2017 to December 2017. In her role as speechwriting intern, she helped research and draft speeches for clients across the country.

Illness and Recovery :
- Abigail has a nut allergy, which was discovered when she was four and on holiday with her parents at a remote cabin in Northern Minnesota.
- She also suffered from health problems after being born that made her unwell for a long time. She has since made a good recovery.

- Abigail was chosen as the editor of the Yale Daily News Magazine from 2015 to 2016, following her stint as Associate Editor the previous year.
- While at Yale, Abigail became the president of the Yale Minnesota Club, volunteered for the No Closed Doors project, tutored at the Yale College Writing Center, and won Yale’s “Last Comic Standing” competition in 2016.
- Abigail also spent six weeks studying at the international relations summer program of the London School of Economics and Political Science.
- She was awarded the Presidential Scholar Candidate distinction in 2013 by her high school, Washington-Lee.
