Who Was Amanda Girard?
Amanda Girard, born to Sue St. Pierre and Robert Girard (both deceased), was an extraordinary individual characterized by both vibrant spirit and warmhearted character. Her life was marked by deep bonds with family and friends alike. Amanda was an incredible mother to Killian McPherson and Willa McPherson McPherson; an adored sibling to Megan Jacqueline Collette Paige (all deceased); an inspirational example of familial bonds as sources of strength.
Amanda’s career journey at 7 Eleven, CIBC and Hub International showcased her dedication and work ethic. While juggling multiple professional commitments at once, Amanda always prioritised family first – creating a warm and nurturing environment for her children while making lifelong memories with them. Amanda’s love of family was her driving force guiding all aspects of her life.

Amanda held motherhood close to her heart. Although the sudden and tragic loss of Killian in 2024 was devastating, Amanda continued to provide strength for Willa by remaining an incredible example. Her love was undying as she treasured every moment spent with them – not only close relatives, but extended to an extensive network of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too.
At Amanda’s home was an oasis of comfort and laughter, often filled with the sounds of karaoke nights with friends. These gatherings not only demonstrated her love of life and ability to bring people together; rather they were an expression of how charismatic and enthusiastic Amanda could be for every event that came her way.
A Life Celebrated Amanda Girard’s life will be honored at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home – Banwell Location on January 24, 2024 with visitation scheduled. The chapel service, as a sign of respect to her memory and legacy, will serve as an intimate place for family and friends to share memories and memorialize her life. Her decision for cremation honors her wishes for simplicity.
Amanda leaves behind an indelible legacy of love, resilience, and community spirit that will live on forever in those who knew her and cherish their memories of her. As an expression of their appreciation for all Amanda has done in life, her family has asked that instead of sending flowers they donate to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Canada or Willa McPherson’s education fund. This gesture represents her lifelong dedication to making an impactful contribution – her legacy will live on through acts of kindness that create positive change for many others.
