Before the 2017 League of Legends All-Stars Event even started, J Team AD player and general professional legend, Chang "BeBe" Bo-Wei, had already announced his plans of retiring at the end of the 2017 competitive season.
For many of his fans, as well as general members of the LoL community, this announcement brought sadness mixed with a bit of shock.
Or, maybe not shock. After all, BeBe has been around since the early days of LoL competitions, even being a part of the roster that won Taipei Assassins the Season 2 World Championship.
Thankfully, BeBe isn't completely retiring from the game. He will stay on with his last team, J Team, and will become a streamer for the organization.
However, although he may not be leaving the scene forever, he will definitely be sorely missed on the more competitive side of things. Even posting a picture with his team after All-Stars with the caption of "THE END," even BeBe seems to be aware that not only does his departure signal the start of a new chapter of his own life, but for the LoL community as well.
League of Legends esports will never be the same without BeBe, the legendary AD who took on the same name as his dog.
Best of luck to BeBe in all of his future endeavors!
