Before joining FOX Sports, Raftery Bill served for CBS Radio, ESPN, and CBS Sports Group Channel as an analyst and sports studio host. Raftery received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of LaSalle.

Between 1970 and 1981, Bill was commissioned as the head basketball coach by Seton Hall. Robinson guided the team to four ECAC postseason tournaments and  National Invitation Tournament appearances.
