Martavius Houston, the all-state linebacker from Boyd Anderson High, has told at least one other interested school he has committed to Auburn.

Houston has scheduled a news conference Friday to announce his decision. Houston said he made up his mind Monday, then finalized his decision Tuesday.

New University of Miami coach Butch Davis has taken a late run at landing Houston.

“He’s been talking to me,” Houston said. “I think he’s OK. You can’t tell that much just from talking on the phone.”

In addition to Auburn and UM, Houston has expressed an interest in Florida State.
