Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
In this project, students embark on a delicious journey as they become food scientists. Their task is to determine the best solution for creating the perfect sugar and water mixture, as well as to identify the ideal procedures for growing the largest rock candy crystals. Additionally, students will use their marketing skills by deciding on flavors that will be appealing to their classmates who will be acting as consumers.
Your contribution will directly impact my students' ability to explore concepts such as solubility, crystallization, and flavor chemistry.
By supporting this project, you will not only help foster a love for science among our students but also provide them with valuable hands-on learning experiences.

Scientists in all fields must learn to make careful observations while knowing what to record and to make sense of their notes and collected data. One focus of this project is an understanding of thorough note-taking with the specific need to display students' observations using colorfully-labeled and accurate diagrams not only in this unit, but all throughout the year. The markers we request will help make note-taking unique and precise.
