Career Strategies

What’s new: There’s been a big push for alimony reform; however, the bill has not yet passed.There’s also been a substantial change in 2008 as to children’s issues.The days of “custody” and “primary residential parent,” for example, are gone.

Engagement: Becoming involved in my local bar associations and establishing a good rapport with other attorneys has helped me advance in my practice.I look forward to working toward becoming a board-certified family law attorney next year.

Advice to young professionals: Find a few great and reputable attorneys in your practice area to mentor you and never stop learning.
