She is an Arkansas native who grew up as the family’s middle child. She grew up to be a very smart and intelligent young lady. She began competing in beauty pageants as early as the age of ten. Chanley finished high school at Conway High School, where she graduated with honors.
She subsequently attended the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned a degree in Political Science with a minor in Speech Communication. Chanley went on to get her Master’s degree in Public Service from the Clinton School of Public Service. She later attended the University of Arkansas, where she earned a Doctor of Law degree. Chanley won the Miss Arkansas Pageant while still in college in 2009.
She began her career after graduating from college. She joined the Law Review Editorial Board in 2009 as a Symposium Editor. Chanley began working with the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission in 2011 as a clerk, consultant, and researcher. She held the position for a year before moving on to become a multimedia reporter and legal analyst for Nexstar Media Group in 2016. Chanley worked as a Legal Analyst for three years before moving on to her current position on Court TV. Since 2019, she has worked as a legal correspondent and reporter for Court TV.
