Several residents of the Royal Point apartments awoke to a flurry of police activity following a triple shooting and now they know who may be responsible.
Akeeme Cordell Brown, 22, is the prime suspect in the shootings that left one woman dead and another woman and man wounded, said the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
They were gunned down in the parking lot of the sprawling complex at 3610 N.W. 21st St. in Lauderdale Lakes about 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 13.
The two survivors were taken to Broward Health Medical Center, but their names have not been released.
During the investigation, detectives identified Brown as the suspect, whom they consider armed and dangerous.
Brown is facing charges that include second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted murder, detectives said.
Investigators are asking anyone who knows Brown’s whereabouts or has any other information to contact Detective Kevin Nitsch at 954-321-4876.
