Destin Rabess Obituary, Death Cause – The victim of a fatal stabbing that occurred during a fight between teenagers in Port Jervis this week has been identified as Destin Rabess, who was 18 years old and from Montgomery. It was around 2:30 in the am on Wednesday when the deadly brawl broke out between two groups of up to 12 teenagers at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Jersey Avenue, according to the officials. The Port Jervis police department released a press release on Thursday stating that they responded to Bon Secour Community Hospital after some of the kids involved went there on their own to seek medical attention.

According to a person with knowledge of the case who spoke with News 12, the adolescents came to the hospital driving a U-Haul truck while carrying the deceased victim covered in blood. According to the individual who spoke to News 12, all three victims had injuries to their abdominal areas that were caused by stab wounds. Together with the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Major Crimes Unit, and the Forensic Identification Unit, the Port Jervis City Police Department, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, and the Hudson Valley Crime Analysis Center are conducting an investigation into the incident.
