She was born on September 7, 1946, and her impact on both the pool industry and the lives of those who knew her will be forever cherished. Diane was a trailblazer in the pool industry, breaking down barriers for females when she embarked on her career journey in 1989 at UFI Pools. Her passion and dedication to her work were unparalleled, and her achievements spoke volumes. In 2019, she was honored with the Compass Pools Australia Trailblazer Award, a recognition of her pioneering spirit. Diane was immensely proud to be a Compass Dealer and brought a level of drive and determination that was admired by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Throughout her 24-year career, Diane’s love for design, construction, and securing a “good deal” shone brightly. She built a thriving business with her family, one that was built on principles of excellence and customer satisfaction. Her work ethic was impeccable, and she held her team to the same high standards, never settling for anything less than perfection. Diane’s dedication to her customers was unwavering, and her reputation for fixing any problem with a warm smile was well-known. She received numerous building awards and was proud of her business’s growth through referrals from satisfied customers. Her legacy of excellence and positivity will continue to inspire all those who knew her.
Though Diane officially retired in February of this year, her relentless spirit never wavered. Soon after her retirement, she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, a battle she fought with the same optimism and tenacity that defined her life. In the end, she found peace, free from pain, and watching over us with her eternal optimism. Diane was not just a pioneer in her industry; she was also an incredible mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, neighbor, best friend, aunt, cousin, and boss. Her magnetic personality and contagious laugh left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She had a remarkable ability to bring smiles and joy to those around her.
