Dick’s Sporting Goods now open in Pembroke Pines

Dick’s Sporting Goods in Pembroke Pines is now open at 11940 Pines Blvd.

The Pembroke Crossing store had its soft opening Friday, but a grand opening is planned in coming weeks, store manager Kenson Anestin said.

The new sporting goods store is occupying space at the shopping center left vacant by Linen N Things and Floral Supply Mart.

The Pittsburgh, Pa.,-based sporting goods retailer is in expansion mode in South Florida. Two other stores are planned for Plantation’s Fountains shopping center and Boynton Beach‘s Boynton Festive Center.

The retailer already has a store opened in West Palm Beach at 8821 Southern Blvd.

Special store opening deals in Pembroke Pines, valid through Oct. 2 include Reebok Mens “Property of” Miami Dolphins short sleeve T-shirts for $9.98 and a sleeve of Wilson Championship Tennis balls for 99 cents, regularly priced at $2.49.
