The EA Sports FIFA Carniball promotion is a promotion that celebrates the festivals and players throughout the world. The promotion in previous FIFAs has been released towards the end of March into early April but hasn't been in FUT since FIFA 19.
However, in FIFA Mobile, the promo has recently dropped, featuring upgraded players from around South America, North America, and Europe, including Paulo Dybala, Felipe Anderson, and Kevin Volland. According to The_BossFUT on Twitter, it's rumored that Dani Alves will even receive a special card in the promo.

Since EA Sports own both FIFA 22 and FIFA Mobile, this can possibly signal that the Carniball promo is coming to FUT on console and PC soon. In FIFA 19, the promo began on Mar. 8, so it's possible that this can line up with a release for FIFA 22 sometime next month.
Additionally, with Prime Icon Moments coming soon, this can also line up with EA's release of Icon Moments squad building challenges in FIFA 19 alongside Carniball. Players such as Moments Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and Roberto Carlos were added to packs, and more were available in SBCs.
We'll have to wait for EA to reveal any news on Carniball in FIFA 22, but with the celebration starting on FIFA Mobile, we can only hope to see the return of the promo on console as well.
