If you are tired of playing the same Quest and other decks from the current meta then this guide is correct for you. This guide is for C'thun Warlock, an obscure deck with a lot of potential. It may not get you to Legend, but it is tons of fun.

Card List and Mana Curve

The card list for this deck has a few cards that can be swapped out for lower cost cards such as Usher of Souls, Feeding Time and Bane of Doom in order to support early game play against more aggressive matchups.

Essential Cards

Summoning Portal really helps cuts the cost of the minions as a weakness of this deck is the early game. This card helps make up for that; if you can keep this card on the field as soon as possible and keep it there you can pick up tempo. Taunts like Voidwalker and Twilight Geomancer are helpful in maintaining the portal on the board long enough.

Forbidden Ritual is a key card that synergizes with Ravenous Pterrordax even if you can only summon one minion from the card. Ravenous Pterrordax can devour that 1/1 in exchange for two adapts. Darkshire Councilman has a lot of synergy with this card just as it does in most Warlock decks.

Tar Lurker is a great stalling card especially against match ups with Priest. Bloodfury Potion is a very helpful card to put on any minion but specifically your Voidwalker. Of course, do not forget C'thun for your C'thun deck.

Strategy

For mulligans, you want to keep as many low cost cards in your hand. If you are going up against an aggressive deck, you do not want to keep C'thun in your starting hand.

Against aggressive decks, which will give you the hardest time, your goal is to not die. This is achieved by stalling the opponent until you can get going.

This deck is all about knowing which cards work well with each other and playing off of those. Other than finding card combos, this deck will be mostly passive and reactive as you plot to setup your win condition.

Ending the Game

Your win condition can either be C'thun or a variety of buffed up minions like Darkshire Councilman or Faceless Shambler. Winning with this deck can often feel like overkill as the board is stacked with high attack/health minions.
