A hotel chain linked to Fort Lauderdale-based marine conservationist and artist Guy Harvey has opened its first U.S. resort: the 211-room Guy Harvey Outpost, a TradeWinds Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach in west Florida.
The property was formerly known as TradeWinds Sandpiper Hotel and Suites.
Renovations are still being completed, but plans call for all guest rooms to updated and feature Guy Harvey art by January. There also will be a Guy Harvey gallery of fish from the Tampa area, complete with descriptions of those species.
