How to build Snowfolk in Animal Crossing is your way to get special seasonal crafts. Building Snowfolk is the same as it's always been in Animal Crossing, and here's how to do it right to get those cool rewards.
Brrr! It's not my imagination...it really IS getting colder in the northern hemisphere! Surely I wasn't the only one who woke up to a blanket of snow this morning? Now we can make snowballs and Snowboys and watch the snowflakes fall from the sky. Isn't it cozy?

How to Build Snowfolk in Animal Crossing
First, you'll need to find a snowball. Two to three of these will spawn on the island every day, and you'll have to roll them so they accumulate snow.
They start off small, so you'll kick them around until they become big enough to roll. Roll one to be the body, and then locate the second one and roll it as a head. In New Horizons, only the Snowboy is present.
You'll have to craft the proportions just right, or else you won't get the DIY recipe. The exception to this is when you make a Snowboy for the first time. To make a perfect Snowboy, the body should go to the top of your character's eyes and the head should be just up to your character's mouth.
If your snowball is too big, you can roll it over a non-snow surface to let it reduce in size. The snowball will dissolve if it's too small or rolled into the water, but will respawn when you enter and exit a building.
Upon completion, the Snowboy will reward you with a DIY Recipe from Frozen set. The Snowboy will unfortunately melt after three days, during which you can talk to him. If he's perfect, you'll get a free snowflake.
