The Last of Us Part 2's (TLOU2) Rat King boss is proving to be difficult for some players.

Last of Us 2 Rat King Tips
The best tips for the Rat King boss battle is to keep yourself as far away from it as possible. It will chase you, smash holes in walls, break open doors, and generally destroy anything in its path to get at you—and then kill you instantaneously once it does.
Stay mobile. Don't stop running unless you're sure you can afford it. Don't turn around and flood it with bullets unless you've got the distance. Explosives can be helpful here such as the Pipe Bomb, but never let it get too close. TLOU2's lock-on feature is particularly helpful here to land those hits.
At around the half-health mark, the Rat King splits into two halves: the bloater and the stalker. Now you've got two enemies to beat.
The bloater needs to be taken down first. Special shotgun shells can be useful to keep the stalker at bay while you focus on its counterpart. Remember not to spend too much against either party. After taking down the bloater, you still have another half of the battle to go.
The stalker is available in the next room after finishing off the bloater. Luckily, the game hands you some time to regroup. You'll find the stalker waiting for you beyond the Exit door. This is the part of the fight where you shouldn't hold back. Empty your rounds and be on your way.
