How to Find Piercing Claw in Monster Hunter Rise
For better or worse, it appears that Piercing Claw materials did not make the cut into Monster Hunter: Rise. Players have been unable to find the material in-game leaving some to believe it may not exist at all. It may have been mechanically replaced with the Mizutsune Claw.
Piercing Claw was previously featured in Monster Hunter World where it could be harvested from a variety of creatures including the Jagras, Shamos, and Girros. It could not be bought from vendors. Players could carry up to 99 of them in a stack at a time and each one sold for 800 zenny.
Monster Hunter describes it as "Dangerous to touch with bare hands, it's used as a knife in some workshops" and "Material from high rank small fanged wyverns. Sharp enough that it might serve as a makeshift knife."
Previously Piercing Claw was used in 11 weapon recipes, nine armor recipes, and one charm recipe.
