Sacred Provenance Destiny 2 might be the first weapon of the next meta. For the past few months, Mountaintop, Ace of Spades and Lord of Wolves are a few of the weapons that dominate the PvP space. It's not much different for the PvE aspect of the game.

The new raid could change the landscape as it has many weapons to choose from.

You know that thing that goes bump in the night?

Become that thing.

Sacred Provenance Destiny 2

Sacred Provenance has an Aggressive Frame Pulse, meaning it fires four bullets per trigger pull instead of the usual three. It's already one of the highest DPS weapons in the game and will probably be nerfed fairly soon.

The gun has a Rapid Hit perk which increases stability and reload speed if you land precision shots. That means, if your first burst is a head shot, you get x4 Rapid Hit. That's an insane amount of stability and reload speed. And on top of that, you get Kill Clip, which increases your damage after reloading after a kill. The gun is literally built for killing an enemy player in two bursts, reloading, and doing it all over again.

The weapon can drop for any of the bosses in the Garden of Salvation. Some have stated that it can even drop on trash in rare situations.
