Since the successful release of New World’s closed beta on July 20, players have wondered if this popular new game will be coming to Xbox. Since Xbox is owned by Microsoft, they have ported many successful titles from PC to their consoles, such as Apex Legends and Minecraft. As such, it seems only natural that New World could also be added to their list of popular PC games available on Xbox.

Amazon Games has been not said much yet regarding information around their future plans to integrate New World to a console platform. Despite this, the full release of the game will be launched exclusively on PC on Aug. 31. More information regarding future development for the game, including the possibility of the game being released on a console such as Xbox can be found on their website.

Is New World Coming to Xbox?

Amazon Games has expressed that they have no immediate plans to release New World on Xbox, however, the developers could change their mind considering the release of the next-generation consoles such as the Xbox Series X/S. Xbox also has also introduced Xbox Cloud Gaming which would make the port of a large MMORPG such as New World more efficient and optimized, allowing for a smooth and enjoyable gameplay experience.

New World also has simplistic yet engaging combat system featuring the ability to swap weapons with a total of six different skills/abilities that would be easy to master using an Xbox controller. Considering this, the combat and graphics would work tremendously well for Xbox, so it isn’t unlikely that players might hear news in the future regarding Amazon Game’s releasing New World on other platforms.
