Jesse Gilman Obituary, Death Cause – On November 28, 2023, the world lost a bright soul with the unexpected passing of Jesse A. Gilman at the age of 45 in Cottage Grove.
Born on January 25, 1978, in St. Paul, MN, to Diane Olson and Ray Gilman, Jesse was a man of diverse talents and a compassionate spirit. His expertise in computers led him to become an IT specialist in the dental field after graduating on the Dean’s List from Brown Institute. Jesse’s proficiency in his professional life was matched by his passion for music, a love for nature, and an undeniable affection for his pets, particularly his cherished dog Frank and cat Manny.
Known for his exceptional sense of humor, Jesse had a unique ability to keep those around him laughing. His departure leaves a void in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him, a testament to the positive impact he made.
Jesse is preceded in death by several beloved family members, including his grandparents Ray, Rose, Stan, Marlene, and Ed, as well as his loyal dog, Frank.
He is survived by his parents, Ray (Patti) Gilman and Diane (Jim) Olson; brother, Brian (Kate) Gilman; grandmother, Jean Gilman; step-siblings, Tyler Jacobson, Heather Jacobson, Erin Bierl, and Seth Bolden; nephew and nieces, Liam and Lilian Gilman and Anissya Martinez; and his cat, Manny.
A Celebration of Jesse’s Life will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings. A time of sharing is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
