John Webb Obituary, Death – On December 5, 2023, the world bid farewell to John Burl Webb III, a remarkable individual who left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. Born on August 2, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas, John’s journey through life was one characterized by joy, devotion, and a passion for all things mechanical. Raised by his loving parents, John Burl Webb Jr and Barbara Webb, John’s inquisitive nature was evident from an early age. He developed a knack for dismantling and reassembling various objects, a skill that earned him a reputation for being able to take anything apart and put most things back together.
John graduated from Hall High School in 1970, and furthered his education at the University of Arkansas of Little Rock and Draughon School of Business. His commitment to service led him to the National Guard, where he proudly served as a dedicated member. In his professional life, John found his calling in the Telecommunications Field at Entergy. He excelled in his role, garnering numerous certificates, awards, and commendations for his contributions to the field. Beyond his professional achievements, John had a passion for classic cars, dedicating time to restoring them. He also lent his expertise to friends, helping with small engine repairs and vehicle maintenance.
John’s family was at the center of his world. He was a joyous son, devoted husband to Linda Bajorek Webb, a wonderful father to Scott (Emryl) Webb and Liz (Jason) Meeks, and an affectionately known “Pop” to his beloved grandchildren, Noah and Ariel Meeks. John is survived by his mother, Barbara Davidson Webb, and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. To honor his memory, donations can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.
