Max Blumenthal is a prominent American journalist, author, and blogger currently working as the editor of The Grayzone website. Before, Blumenthal served for AlterNet, The Daily Beast, Al Akhbar, The Nation, and Media Matters for America as a writer and has contributed to The New York Times,  Al Jazeera English, and the Los Angeles Times. He has been a writing fellow of the Nation Institute.

Additionally, He is also a regular contributor to Sputnik and RT. Max has written four books. His first, Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party (2009), made the Los Angeles Times and New York Times bestsellers lists.

Blumenthal was awarded the 2014 Lannan Foundation Cultural Freedom Award for An Especially Notable Book for Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel, which was released in 2013.
