Paul Pintella Obituary, Death Cause – This morning I was saddened to learn of the demise of Paul Pintella, an ardent supporter of our cherished Capital City who had been fighting for its betterment for many years. His steadfast dedication to the community that he cared so deeply about was demonstrated during the years that he served as a Councilman and later as President of the Council. As a former County Commissioner, I had the honor of working with Paul on a number of projects, and I can state without reservation that his genuine warmth and friendliness made an indelible effect on me. We worked together on a number of different initiatives.
Every initiative that Paul undertook was infused with the spirit of public service, which was readily apparent. He possessed a natural talent for uniting people and bridging divides for the sake of the city’s progress. The good shifts that took place in our community while he was in charge were made possible as a direct result of the leadership and dedication exhibited by him. In addition to the successes he had in his professional life, many people admired Paul for the person he was on the inside. Through his kindness and lack of selfishness, he left a huge mark on the lives of numerous people, and those who were fortunate enough to have known him were profoundly influenced as a result.
Because he had an impact on so many people’s lives and because of the beneficial improvements he brought about, his legacy will definitely endure. In this trying time, my family and I would like to offer our most sincere condolences to Paul’s family, friends, and anybody else who is mourning the loss of Paul. The hole that he has left behind is immeasurable, but the tremendous contributions that he made to our nation’s capital will live on in our hearts forever. Goodbye, Paul Pintella, and may you rest in peace for all of eternity.
