Paula Faris is a veteran American journalist presently serving for ABC News as the senior national correspondent. Since September 2018, She has been part of the station’s news family

Before joining her current station, Faris served on Good Morning America Weekend News as a co-anchor. During her free time, Faris enjoys reading novels, traveling, and spending time with her handsome husband and their three children.

After graduating from the university, Paula served at different communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Ohio. She also served in radio sales, due to limited television opportunities.

Faris was eventually hired at WKEF/WRGT as a production assistant, where she worked for a year before being promoted to the station’s news reporter and anchor.  In 2002, She served at WCPO-TV in Cincinnati as a weekend sports anchor and weekday sports anchor for 3 years.

Additionally, Faris has also served for 5 years at the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago as a sports reporter and anchor. In December 2011, He was officially hired by ABC’s news division, ABC News.

On January 2, 2012, Paula made her first appearance on the network for its World News Now and America This Morning. After some time at the station, She was later promoted to a correspondent located in New York for all ABC News programs.

On August 9, 2014, She made her appearance on Good Morning America Weekend as co-anchor, hence replacing Bianna Golodryga, who moved to Yahoo! News.  On August 25, 2015, Paula joined The View as a co-host for season 19.

Apart from being a veteran on-air journalist,  She is also an author. Paula recently published her book named, “Called Out: Why I Traded Two Dream Jobs for a Life of True Calling.”
