Phil Simms is a famous American journalist currently working for the CBS network as a television sportscaster. Before, Simms was an American football quarterback who spent his entire 15-year professional tenure playing the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Giants.

Following playing college football at Morehead State Campus, He became drafted by the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL) in the first round with the position seven selection overall in the 1979 NFL Draft.

He set the record for top completion percentage in a Super Bowl, finishing 22 of 25 passes (88%), a record that still stands, and became named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Super Bowl XXI, following Simms over the Denver Broncos led the Giants to a 39–20 victory. Phil also for his presentations in the 1985 and 1993 seasons became named to the Pro Bowl. Simms completed his career with 33,462 passing yards.
