The cat is out of the bag. The food item that Florida does better than any other state is the grocery store sub, according to Thrillist, a website covering food, drink travel and entertainment.
But not just any grocery store will do — these sandwiches must be purchased from Publix, the supermarket chain headquartered in Lakeland.
The most fervent Florida sub eaters even have a nickname for their favorite sandwich: “the Pub Sub.”
