Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's Dragonrot can be an annoying disturbance to players. As if dying wasn't enough of a punishment, the more you die the more you're deluded with Rot Essence. That can cause Dragonrot to NPCs around you throughout the game.

You start with Sculptor and as you die more, you'll get Timid Maid and then Fine Son.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Dragonrot

Once you receive it when you die the item says, "Owning this item reduces one’s chances of receiving Unseen Aid.”

Unseen Aid is a random gift given to players after they die. When you usually die, you lose half of your Skill Experience and half of your Sen (currency). But there is a 30 percent chance you'll receive Unseen Aid at the Sculptor's Idol and not lose anything. That's where the Dragonrot comes in. Besides everyone around you hacking and coughing as you rack up the deaths, you percentage drops to 15 then 12 percent for a chance at Unseen Aid. That's basically the only way it affects you in the game.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Dragonrot: How to Cure It

Start off by talking to Emma at the Dilapidated Temple who will ask for blood samples from people with Dragonrot. Go back to the woman who gave you the Young Lord’s Bell Charm. She is on the road to Ashina Castle between the Outskirts Wall Gate Path and Outskirts Wall Stairway. Take the sample back to Emma who basically tells you that you're a piece of crap and is causing all this devastation. She'll need time and you need another item. The Dragon’s Blood Droplet, an item that is “rarely dropped by a Divine Heir of the Dragon’s Heritage.”

Once you grab that, Emma will make the cure and the option to cure the disease will be in the Sculptor’s Idol. Cure yourself and enjoy the 30 percent boon again, but don't worry. odds are you'll die again soon and gain the disease all over again.
