JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - I Just Killed My Dad merupakan serial dokumenter Amerika yang dapat disaksikan di Netflix.
Serial ini diadaptasi dari sebuah kisah nyata tentang seorang remaja lelaki bernama Anthony Templet yang membunuh ayahnya sendiri.
Karya dari Skye Borgman ini bermula pada 3 Juni 2019 saat Anthony yang baru berusia 17 tahun menelepon 911 dan berkata pada operator: “Saya baru saja membunuh ayah saya.”
Namun, ia berdalih bahwa aksi tersebut hanya untuk membela dirinya sendiri dari rasa tidak aman yang selama ini ia rasakan.
Tuduhan aslinya atas pembunuhan tingkat dua direduksi menjadi tuduhan pembunuhan, dan dia akhirnya memohon tidak ada kontes untuk pembunuhan yang lalai.
Saat ini, Anthony sedang menjalani masa percobaan lima tahun dengan keuntungan bebas menjalani hidupnya sesuka hati.
