This is “Small Bites,” a South Florida Sun Sentinel feature with tiny tidbits on the food and beverage scene — because we know that sometimes you just don’t have room for a long article. You want a little news brief instead, an amuse bouche of information, if you will. Enjoy!

WHAT:

Fine wine and gourmet food — what’s not to love?

That’s what you’ll find at the annual Boca Bacchanal, a weekend-long festival culminating in the Grand Tasting, where foodies stroll from kiosk to kiosk sampling wines, bubbly, whiskies and signature dishes from local chefs.

Before that, there are Vintner Dinners on Saturday, in which the meal is paired with Napa Valley wines — but those are already sold out.

However, you can still get tickets for The Distillers Dinner on Friday night. That event, which features five whiskeys from The Macallan, is hosted by The Boca Raton, the historic landmark hotel designed by Addison Mizner almost 100 years ago. The event will take place in The Boca Raton’s MB Supper Club.

The dinner will be prepared and served by Andrew Roenbeck, director of culinary operations and resort executive chef, and Peter Annewanter, executive chef of MB Supper Club and another resort restaurant, Flybridge.

Also planned: two Special Sipping Seminars on Sunday at The Addison estate, one with Scotland’s Macallan Distillery and another with California’s ZD Wines.

WHEN/WHERE:

The Distillers Dinner starts at 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, at The Boca Raton hotel, 501 E. Camino Real.

The Macallan Seminar is from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at The Addison, 2 E. Camino Real, Boca Raton.

The ZD Wines Seminar is also from noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, at The Addison.

The Grand Tasting will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at The Addison.

COST:

Grand Tasting tickets are $125; seminar tickets are $160, and The Distillers Dinner (Boca Bacchanal Vintner Dinner FOUR on the websites) is $350.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE GRAND TASTING:

The food will come from AlleyCat, Atlantic Grille at The Seagate Hotel & Spa, Bazille at Nordstrom, Big in Japan, Blis Foods, Capital Grille, GourmetPhile, KakaoZON Ecuadorian Chocolate, Lemongrass Asian Bistro, Max’s Grille, Oceans 234, Poke Company, Ramen Lab Eatery, Sicilian Oven, as well as six curated food stations from The Addison.

The vintners and distributors will include ZD Wines, Silver Oak, Twomey Cellars, Domaine Carneros, DAOU, St. Supéry Estate, Coppola, Hahn, Hope Family Wines and Luca Bosio.

EXTRA TIDBIT:

This is the 21st Boca Bacchanal to be hosted by The Boca Raton Historical Society as a fundraiser for the organization and The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum.

Says Mary Csar, executive director of the Boca Raton Historical Society & Museum: “Boca Bacchanal is a festive weekend that celebrates and enhances the appreciation of wine and food, while bringing together world-class chefs and vintners, offering their finest specialties, while providing the entire community with a delightful and tasty opportunity to support the heritage education programs of The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum and the Boca Raton Historical Society.”
