Star Wars Squadrons Patch Notes have a minor but important fix. The roughly 400MB update went live earlier today, and brought some needed fixes to the game's performance when in VR.

Players have reported that Squadrons has a few issues when launching in VR, like ghosting or frame-rate stutters. Other players using SteamVR found the client crashing when closing out of Squadrons.

Many of the problems seem to be Steam oriented, as players using the Valve Index seem to be experiencing more issues than players on the Vive or other VR sets. Overall, the problems affecting VR seems to be just hardware compatibility issues.

While we are investigating the reports received on various issues for #StarWarsSquadrons, we are deploying a small PC patch to improve overall stability in the game when launching in VR.

Star Wars Squadrons Patch Notes: VR Fixed for PC

The update does not include any real patch notes, but EA has announced a small patch addressing the VR compatibility problems.

It's a shame that there are so many compatibility bugs with the game in VR mode, as that is one of Squadron's most anticipated features. This hotfix should solve most of those problems.

Star Wars Squadrons puts you in the cockpit of some of the franchise's most iconic starships as you do battle in 5-v-5 dogfights. The game is out now for PS4, Xbox and PC.
