Steve Wilkos is a popular American television personality, a retired law enforcement officer, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with the Chicago Police Department.
As of now, He serves as the host of The Steve Wilkos Show since 2007. Before, Wilkos served from 1994 through 2007 as a director of security on Jerry Springer. He had initially substituted as host on many occasions for Springer prior to being given his own talk show.

In January 2007, NBC Universal Television officially reported that He would host a talk show of his own based at NBC Tower in Chicago.
On September 10, 2007, This self-titled program premiered and garnered high ratings. Wilkos is known due to his abrasive approach to solving disputes on his self-titled show, tackling various different issues such as molestation, child abuse, as well as cheating partners.
He expressed disapproval with the first season of the talk show, as Steve reflected: “All I did was yell at everybody and throw people off the stage. There was no level of emotion — just hardcore yelling.”
Wilkos said this was how he was produced but that his wife encouraged him to be himself and go with his “gut” by his original executive producer.
As with other tabloid talk shows, his show aired primarily on MyNetworkTV, affiliates of Fox, and The CW. Only scattered CBS, ABC, and NBC affiliates in smaller markets aired it to fill their timeslot.
