Stir Crazy Fresh Asian Grill wants to know where you think it should move.
The restaurant has started an online poll to find a new location in South Florida to replace its shuttered restaurant in Boca Raton.
The chain closed its spot at Town Center at Boca Raton last month, saying it had lease-related issues with the mall operator, Simon. Stir Crazy had served Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine to customers at the mall, at 6000 Glades Road, for 15 years.
Stir Crazy said the company has received a lot of support from customers via emails and social media, saying they appreciate the restaurant. In response, Stir Crazy created an online poll to find out which city would be the best fit for another restaurant.
“We want to stay in the Boca community — and are deeply saddened by the immediate closing of our Boca Town Center restaurant due to ongoing legal issues with the mall’s ownership, Simon Properties,” the poll says. It goes on to say the restaurant will introduce a new menu and concept.
The poll lists 13 locations the restaurant would consider, including Delray Beach, Pembroke Pines and Fort Lauderdale. It also has a blank line for other suggestions.
Stir Crazy has been in business since 1995 and has six other restaurants — one in Estero, Fla. and five scattered throughout Ohio, Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin.
