LIVING in the South Side I too enjoy the benefits of a new improved bus service, care of Citybus. However, it appears that slowly but surely the No.6 and 6A are returning to the standards of old. I can remember the publicity about courteous, careful drivers and wonder where they are.
Taking the 6A on October 19 at 8.40am from Repulse Bay (registration number supplied to the South China Morning Post) we were treated to the delights of a most surly individual. These new buses go faster especially around corners and into bus stops and certainly brake harder. You most definitely do not arrive in better shape.
It may not be the best job in the world but surely they can be more considerate. I wonder if the management of Citybus regularly travel ''incognito'' to see for themselves how good or bad the service is.
