The latest League of Legends Patch 8.16 Public Beta Environment update included changes for Amumu, Leona, Maokai, Nautilus, Sion, Rammus, damage runes, and Nexus Blitz.

Riot Games seems to have attempted to balance out the tank champions in League of Legends with the upcoming patch.

Amumu had his E buffed with a new passive that states "Passive physical damage reduction gains additional benefit equal to 3 percent of Amumu's bonus Armor and Magic Resist."

Leona's W base damage was decreased at later stages, and now caps out at 180 instead of 220. The cooldown on the ability now starts at 18 and caps out at 10, instead of being 14 at all ranks. The armor and magic resist it grants had the base stats lowered, but the scaling on it increased by 20 percent. Leona's E had its base damage increased, capping out at 260 instead of 220.

Maokai had his move speed increased by five, his magic resist growth increased by 0.5, and the max damage on his E against non-champions increased by 200.

Nautilus' W had its base stats increased, but it's scaling off of his HP reduced. The duration of the ability was lowered by four seconds, it's cooldown lowered to 12 at all ranks, and its cost lowered by 20 mana.

Rammus' W received a small buff in the scaling ratios for the bonus armor and magic resist it grants.

Sion's W permanent Max HP gain for small enemies was increased from 3 to 4, and for large enemies it was increased from 10 to 15.

Tahm Kench had the slow duration on his Q lowered by 0.5, and the cooldown lowered by one second. His W damage was increased slightly, but now grants one less additional percentage per 100 AP. The devour duration is now four seconds at all ranks, meaning that enemy champion duration will be two seconds at all ranks. The cooldown was significantly increased at all ranks; the starting cooldown of the ability is now 28 seconds instead of 14, and it caps out at 16 seconds instead of 10. It's cost was lowered by 30 mana. When the ability is used on an enemy, the cast now triggers half of its normal cooldown.

Also included in the new PBE were changes to damage runes, mostly nerfing them. Runes such as Cheap Shot, Electrocute, Sudden Impact, Celerity and Scorch all got their damaged nerfed. Only Scorch and Electrocute also got their cooldowns lowered. Riot had hinted at the rune nerfs earlier on Friday and now they have been put in place.

For Nexus Blitz changes, Riot Games played around with the Rift Herald spawn time and respawn time, decreased the local and global gold for Towers, fixed a Runic Echoes bug, a Cinderhulk bug, and increased the cost of Force of Nature, and Death Fire Grasp. It also made some small changes to the different game types.
