The Toronto Overwatch League announced its branding, logo and colors Wednesday for its team, which enters in Season 2 of Overwatch League in February. The team will be called the Toronto Defiant.

The Defiant is operated by Splyce, an organization with teams most notably in League of Legends. Chris Overholt, who was formerly the CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee, will now act as the CEO and president of the team.

Overholt said that along with Jeff Kaplan he and his team talked for hours before landing on a name. They eventually decided on "the Defiant," which has a logo depicting an interlocking T and D. The red, black and white colors that make up the logo were chosen to convey powerful emotions while paying respect to the Canadian flag.

Toronto isn't the only city to get a new Overwatch team, as both Atlanta and Paris recently revealed branding of their own. Atlanta Reign utilizes light grey and red in its logo, and although Paris hasn't yet shown off its colors it did reveal a roster.
