Colin Towbin didn’t just kick back and relax with family and friends this holiday season. Instead, the 10-year-old Towbin received the Most Valuable Player award for his Coral Springs National ballclub the week of Dec. 22 at the Bucky Dent Baseball School.
Located at 490 Dotterel Road in Delray Beach, the Bucky Dent Baseball School has been helping shape Towbin’s work ethic, attitude and playing ability. His favorite position is first base, with his favorite player being Albert Pujols and his favorite team Pujols’ St. Louis Cardinals.
Towbin took home the accolades under Coral Springs National coach Rafi Rodriguez. The young ballplayer lives with his parents in Coral Springs and has been attending the Bucky Dent Baseball School for two years.
The Bucky Dent Baseball School has been in business for 34 years and also consists of satellite camps in St. Louis, Mo., and Hobe Sound, Fla. It is open 26 weeks of the year and hosts kids from the ages of 5 to 18.
