The latest ARAM changes round up, published Friday, details the return of Warmog's Armor, the departure of Ghostwalkers, Bloodletter's Veil and Spectral Cutlass, and the addition of area of effect health relics to Howling Abyss. While the developers are still looking to replace Warmog's with a different item to combat poke, for now it will return to ARAM.
Ghostwalkers, Bloodletter's and Spectral were all an attempt to add thematic content to League of Legends' Bilgewater event and to increase the viability of assassins in ARAM, but that they had failed to achieve that viability increase, leading to their removal.
The blog post further explains that the newly added Bench and expanded free-to-play pool would remain live because they reduced queue dodging by half, while the experience changes are shortening games by 20 seconds on average without creating snowballing, also solidifying their remaining.
Dark Harvest's nerfs will be permanent because their reception and impact on the game have been so positive.
The blog post also addressed fan desires to make Butcher's Bridge, a map made available as part of the Bilgewater event, a permanent ARAM map, writing that the team was considering ways to do .
