My Project
My students come into music class excited to learn and eager to express themselves! The confidence and sense of community they build through vocal performance carries over to all other aspects of their lives, from reading and writing, to building positive relationships within their school community. Unfortunately, our school is lacking in instruments to provide students with a variety of ways to explore their musical interests.
These Djembe drums will drastically increase their opportunities for learning by nurturing the growth of musical literacy, improvisation, team building through group performance, and music appreciation.
