What is a slipstream in Mario Kart Tour? The feature has appeared in Mario Kart games in the past and is a subtle but important technique players will need to master to play their absolute best. Here's what it is and how to do it yourself.
I’ve played so much Mario Kart in the last week that I now expect to get a slipstream boost when I’m walking behind people in the street

What is a Slipstream in Mario Kart Tour?
Slipstreaming is as important in Mario Kart as it is in professional cycling. Slipstreaming requires riding just behind the opponent in front of you, allowing their body to break the wind for you. This lowers the wind resistance you face, making your biking efforts more efficient and allowing you to cycle just as quickly for less energy.
In Mario Kart Tour, you can tell you've entered a slipstream because a faint white ring will appear around your driver. You'll also gain a significant speed boost, allowing you to blast past the driver you slipstreamed.
