What is PUBG PTS? The service is available on nearly every platform on which PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS appears, and it always serves the same purpose. Here's everything you need to know about the PUBG PTS.

What is PUBG PTS? Everything You Need to Know

The PUBG PTS, or Public Test Server, is a staging ground for new content across PUBG releases. Generally speaking, whenever the game is set to receive a big update, that update will appear first on the PTS for that platform.

Players on PUBG PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can all access the PUBG PTS by searching their storefront for it and installing it separately from PUBG itself. Players can only access the PTS when PUBG Corp has added content to it for testing. Outside of those windows, the PTS is often closed and unavailable.

Cosmetics and stats do not transfer from the PTS to live servers.

The amount of time an update stays on the PTS depends on a variety of factors, from the scope of the update to the number of bugs players experience during testing. Tests tend to last around two weeks, at which point the content is pushed to live servers.
