A variety of elected officials and business leaders will bag groceries at five Winn-Dixie stores in northwest Broward County today to help raise money for the Winn-Dixie Hope Lodge.
The lodge, located at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, is used by cancer patients and their families.
Participating stores will donate 5 percent of today’s sales to the lodge.
Coral Springs Mayor Jeanne Mills will be among those bagging groceries. She will work from 6 to 8 p.m. at the store at 10635 W. Atlantic Blvd., Coral Springs.
Other participating stores are at 4633 N. University Drive, Coral Springs; 2450 N. State Road 7, Margate; 5301 W. Atlantic Blvd., Margate; and 4301 Hillsboro Blvd., Coconut Creek.
