Wooloo in Pokemon Sword and Shield was one of the first Galar Pokemon introduced for the new Nintendo Switch game, and will likely be one of the first Pokemon you encounter on your journey. How does Wooloo evolve, where can it be caught, and how effective is it as a competitive Pokemon?
If you ever wondered if a Wooloo roadblock was actually realistic: welcome to Britain.

Wooloo Evolution
Wooloo, which resembles a relatively fluffy sheep, reminiscent of one the key livestock of the United Kingdom, evolves into Dubwool at level 24. Dubwool is much bigger and has fierce horns like a ram or mountain goat.
Wooloo Location
Wooloo is one of the more common Pokemon in the Galar Region, popping up in nearly any area with a big open field, including the Wild Area. For your best shot at catching a Wooloo, head over to either the Motostoke Riverbank or Route 4. If you're hunting for Wooloo at the Riverbank, though, try and do it during the most clear weather possible, as anything greater than an overcast will cause it's encounter rate to drop as low as 5 percent.
Wooloo Stats
Given the small size and timid demeanor of Wooloo, it's stats for battles are nothing too special. Try not to use Wooloo competitively until you can evolve it into a Dubwool.
